A new Beginner’s Guide to DaVinci Resolve 19 has been released by Blackmagic Design. It is free to download (or available in paperback on Amazon) and could be the perfect resource for those looking to make the switch to DaVinci Resolve.
But we know this can be a scary jump. Adobe Premiere Pro and Apple Final Cut Pro have been the most popular NLE platforms for digital video editors since the dominant days of Avid Media Composer (which is still around and, believe it or not, still very capable).
But over the past few years and iterations, Blackmagic’s DaVinci Resolve has become more powerful, more usable, and more popular with video editors, both new and old. Let’s look at this new Beginner’s Guide to DaVinci Resolve 19 and share some additional learning resources and materials to help you get started with DaVinci Resolve today if you so choose.
A Beginner’s Guide to DaVinci Resolve 19
Released on Blackmagic Design’s DaVinci Resolve Training resources page, this new training book is a great textbook option for those seeking an academic coursework-style approach to learning DaVinci Resolve 19.
The training book is a step-by-step training guide that covers high-speed editing on Resolve’s revolutionary new cut page, which is designed for fast turnaround work. Readers can also learn how to use the traditional edit page for more sophisticated projects, along with DaVinci Resolve’s legendary color correction, Fusion VFX, and Fairlight audio tools so they can start creating their own Hollywood-caliber film and video today.
The training book is part of a series that also includes “The Editor’s Guide to DaVinci Resolve 18,” “The Fairlight Audio Guide to DaVinci Resolve 18,” and “The Colorist Guide to DaVinci Resolve 18.”
