Jen Soulé, president of OWC®; a leading zero emissions Mac and PC technology company and one of the world’s most respected manufacturers of SSDs, Mac & PC docking solutions and performance upgrade kits, is among several Chicago influencers named to the 2020 Notable Women in Manufacturing list, presented by Crain’s Chicago Business. Crain’s selected Soulé for her leadership in the manufacturing industry, as well as her efforts in the workplace and community. All honorees are featured in a special March 9 edition of Crain’s Chicago Business.
Soulé started as an OWC Sales Rep in 1997, moving to manage the sales team before leading product development, and eventually becoming OWC’s President in 2014. Being an integral part of OWC’s growth for 22 of the company’s 31 years has enabled Soulé to gain a unique perspective in manufacturing and apply her accrued knowledge towards key roles including creating channel marketing collaboration, developing new international partners, and communicating new corporate strategy and goals.
"Jen is an exceptional leader to have in the workplace and in our community. Under her stewardship, we have advanced the vision of OWC with improved efficiencies and sustainable practices throughout our processes, driven both environmental awareness and economic expansion throughout all of Illinois and globally," said Larry O’Connor, CEO and Founder, OWC. "Jen has been selected, alongside other reputable female leaders, due to her positive impact in manufacturing. Recognitions such as these should be touted, as they attribute to a bigger picture that ignites women and encourages diversity. These women are the change makers we depend on to influence transformations far beyond the industry.”
Crain’s Notable Women in Manufacturing recognizes dedicated women in the industry. Honorees were nominated and chosen for making a difference in Illinois. The women are selected based on their career accomplishments as well as their activities outside of work, mentoring others within the field and contributing to their communities.
