Other World Computing Drops Prices 26 Percent and More on its FireWire 400 DVD-R/W+CD-R/W and CD-R/W Storage Solutions

Other World Computing (OWC) today announced that it has dropped its prices 26 percent and more on its DVD-R/W+CD-R/W and CD-R/W FireWire storage solutions.
Each OWC device supports the IEEE 1394a FireWire standard, as well as support for Universal Serial Bus ports (both USB 2.0 and USB 1.1), which means these devices offer specified data transfer speeds of up to 50 Megabytes per second and 60 Megabytes per second, respectively.
OWC's Mercury Pro DVR-105 DVD-R/RW+CD-R/RW FireWire+USB storage solutions are now priced at $339.99, down from the original price of $459.95 when introduced in December 2002.
On the CD-R/W front, the OWC Mercury Pro 52X24X52X-speed FireWire+USB 2.0/1.1 CD-R/W storage solutions are now priced from $129.99, down from the original starting price point of $179.99 when introduced in January 2003.
OWC's DVD-RW and CD-RW drives recently received rave reviews from two major trade publications (a "GREAT" in MacAddict's December 2002 issue and "four mice" from MacWorld in May 2003) and can be utilized and moved between almost any Macintosh or PC with either FireWire or USB ports available.
