Who Am I? How Did I Get My Start. What Are My Interests?

I'm Ollie, a Director of Photography and Drone Operator, born in the UK, raised in Essex, and living life in Beautiful British Columbia since 2020.

I’m driven by an ambition to help share stories, rendered in beautiful images.

Regularly hired for documentary and science/wildlife cinematography, my credits reflect the versatility of my skills base and my ability to operate in a range of different shooting styles. They include Netflix's 'Our Universe', Disney's Emmy award-nominated 'The World According to Jeff Goldblum', BBC landmark 'Mammals', and National Geographic's Darren Aronofsky-led spectacles 'Welcome to Earth' and 'One Strange Rock'. I'm currently engaged on a number of landmark series for major international streamers, which are under NDA and due to hit screens in the coming years.

My skillset includes verité-style docu-follow, gimbal work (GSS/Shotover M1/DJI/Movi), lighting for scene-work and interviews, vehicle rigging, long-lens, and time-lapsing. I am certified as a commercial drone pilot by the CAA(UK-EU), FAA(USA), and Transport Canada; with hundreds of hours of logged flight experience globally. I also hold Swift- water Rescue level 1, AST 1, and am Remote First Aid and Bear Safety trained.

Never one to be daunted by new technology, I'm always tinkering and adapting the latest equipment to be able to capture stories in a unique way that most compliments them, without limitations.

Working closely with high-profile companies like RED, Laowa, and of course OWC allows me to push creative boundaries in extreme and remote environments, often as a team of one. Always safe in the knowledge that I have an army of the best designers, engineers, and technical pioneers right there in my kit bag.
