Let’s face it: For many in the film and video scene these days, a camera choice isn’t just about the model’s functionality and specs; it’s also about its look and appeal. This isn’t anything new as brands like Fujifilm have been leaning into retro stylings and the convenience of physical dials on their digital bodies for years.

Still, just because a camera looks cool doesn’t mean it must be a great camera. This appears to be the case with these slick, stylish, and almost insufferably cool new Heralbony editions of Nikon's Zfc model.

Originally available only in Japan, these Heralbony edition Nikon Zfc models are set to come to the US. And if you’re interested in getting these cool and functional Zfc models, here’s what you need to know.

Nikon Zfc Heralbony Edition Models

For those perhaps unfamiliar, Heralbony is a Japanese art agency focused on crafting a new culture and challenging preconceptions of disability through art. The agency invites society to experience its extraordinary art in various forms, including products, installations, and even cameras.

For the Nikon Zfc models in particular, Heralbony’s designs are extremely concentrated and bold. When selecting from the available options, the individual artists of each design are even credited by name.

The Nikon Zfc is also an ideal choice for this collaboration, as the camera has clearly been focused on aesthetics, offering a range of colors that you wouldn’t usually find in a hybrid mirrorless camera—especially one that is capable of professional photo and video work.
